16. Glare-Free High Beam (GFHB)

16.2. Valeo BeamAtic ® Premium System

The Glare-Free High Beam is fundamentally a high beam. However, it evaluates the road scene ahead by using cameras and image processing and automatically adapts the light distribution according to the position of the preceding and oncoming traffic.

Valeo’s first ADB system is called BeamAtic ® Premium, it was launched in its Xenon version in 2010 and is extendable to other light sources. Valeo BeamAtic ® Premium is about lighting automation for 80 m far obstacle visibility; it particularly solves the problem of road side visibility without glaring other road users.
