20 Original equipment lighting systems are covered by numerous regulations that apply to each country. The “E mark” indicates the country where the system has been approved; it is associated with a unique number per country.

Regulations and marking

An approval number is assigned to each type approved. The first two digits indicate the series of amendments incorporating the most recent major technical amendments made to the Regulation at the time of issue of the approval.
