The smart light/on&off™ system measures the light and automatically switches on the lights if necessary.

Measuring the light

An optical sensor mounted on the windscreen inside the vehicle permanently detects the light levels as soon as the vehicle starts. The system can easily be switched off to return to manual mode using the on/off switch on the sensor.

Automatic lighting control

Depending on the light levels, the electronic unit automatically switches on and off:

•

- the side lights and low-beam lights; - the rear lights; - the dashboard and number plate lights.

When the light level drops to less than 1,000 lx, the electronic unit automatically and immediately switches on the vehicle’s lights. When the light returns to 3,000 lx, the lights switch off automatically after 20 seconds lapse.
