4.2.3 Release Bearing

●● Apply grease on the sleeve or on the plastic sleeve. Use appropriate grease (please refer to the manufacturer’s recommendations). ●● Check the sliding of the release bearing on the tube guide. Attention Ɂ Ɂ Do not make a hole on the plastic sleeve to connect with greasing devices. This can damage the sleeve and therefore affect the sliding performance of the sleeve on quill. 1. Cover assembly with fixed release bearing Assembly Valeo provides a ring set in the box to be attached on the diaphragm for pull type cover assembly with fixed type release bearing (attachment devices that are provided with release bearing). Attention Ɂ Ɂ Follow strictly the assembly sequence and the parts' orientation (not upside down); otherwise there is a risk of release bearing's disconnection. Advice   In some cases, there is no need of flat washer (in such a case, it is written on the notice delivered together with the release bearing).  Check that the ring is well installed inside the bearing groove together with the bearing plate.
