How to replace a compressor
Lubricate all O-rings with A/C oil. Install new accumulator / receiver dryer, orifice tube / expansion valve and O-rings and re connect the High / Low Pressure pipes.
Recover all the refrigerant from the loop with Valeo ClimFill ® station.

Re-install the accessory belt. Suppliers may recommend to change the alternator freewheel pulley at the same time.
Disconnect the High / Low Pressure pipes from the compressor. • Seal them to avoid moisture infiltration.

Remove the accessory belt, and unbolt the compressor.
Vacuum the loop with the Valeo ClimFill ® for at least 45 min. to remove all air and humidity in the circuit. Pipes temperature must be above 20°C.

Based on the oil quantity already in the compressor, add the right level of oil and refrigerant. Proceed to refrigerant charge. Always refer to catalogue instructions for oil and refrigerant quantities. *cf Oil Refill Run the engine at idle RPM (around 1500 RPM). Check for proper operation of A/C system by running a complete performance test: • Check pressures (High / Low) • Check air outlet temperature
For REMAN compressors, drain the oil and refill the compressor with new oil.

Remove the dryer filter / accumulator and the orifice tube. If the expansion valve is filled with iron dust, also replace it. Flush each pipe and the exchanger to remove all debris and mud in the circuit. ** cf. Flushing
