Do’s Don'ts DO’S AND DON'TS ALTERNATOR

ü Observe correct Polarity when refitting vehicle Battery, avoid the slave Battery for starting. ü Negative terminal to earth. ü Use Multimeter or test lamp to check continuity of wiring. ü Keep the Engine of f when you disconnect or reconnect wiring during electrical service. ü Isolate Alternator while carrying out electric / arc welding on the vehicle.

û Don’t run the Alternator without the Battery in the system. û Don’t flash the Alternator output leads to check output. û Don’t disconnect Battery cab l es o r wi r i ng i n charging system while the Engine is running û Don’t use high voltage instrument on Alternator
