û
ü Do ensure that all electrical connection in the circuit including the battery are clean and secure. ü Observe correct polarity, i.e. c o n n e c t n e g a t i v e t o negative and positive to positive . ü C h e c k t h e e l e c t r i c a l terminals of battery and starter ü Maintain battery in good condi t ion by check ing charge level and electrolyte specific gravity. ü Ensure there is enough fuel in the tank to avoid air lock.
Do not operate the starter motor when the engine is running as this could result in damage the starter motor pinion & flywheel ring gear. Do not crank continuously if the e n g i n e d o e s n ' t fi r e immediately allow some time to cool the starter motor before cranking again. If still the engine does not start ascertain the cause and do not drain the battery by cranking startermotor. Do not move the vehicle using startermotor. Do not subject the startermotor to continuous oil/water drip. Do not accelerate immediately after a start (allow the engine idle RPM to stabilize)
