MOSFET transistors can be considered as power switches, they are activated (open or closed) in special sequences according to the angular position of the rotor.

For a three phase rectifier six transistors are arranged in three branches, synchronous rectifying is achieved by connecting the appropriate stator phase polarity to the battery positive or negative terminal.
