THE PRESSURE PLATE COVER ASSEMBLY can be a cause of clutch failure related to shocks of stress during fitting onto the flywheel. Follow specific Valeo installation instructions Fitting pins must be used, they have two roles: l they ease the fitting by centering the cover assembly onto the flywheel l they ease the fitting by supporting part of the cover assembly weight (up to 40kg) before the screwing operation 1 10 9

The cover assembly must be screwed according to the sequence defined in Valeo fitting instructions. Impact wrench is not allowed to fix the cover assembly, a torque wrench is nevertheless mandatory. 7
