VS - Electrical Systems From Stop-Start to Hybridization

System overview The first generation of StARS combines a machine, a power controller and a 3 phase power harness. StARS is a 14V machine, it is compatible with conventional board-net voltages.

The StARS machine In the first generation of StARS the machine embeds a very tiny amount of electronics, the essential being in the external power controller. Similarly to an alternator structure the StARS rotating machines is a synchronous machine with a claw rotor. The machine is composed of: ●● A poly-V pulley ●● A rotor ●● A rotor angular position sensor ●● A stator ●● A brush holder

The power controller reacts according to numerous sensors and commands conditions from the vehicle; one connector is dedicated to power stimulus for the machine and one to control signals. StARS in the electrical system Can Bus

●● A fan system ●● Ball bearings ●● Connectives systems (3 phase power and control signals) ●● Housing and brackets
